As it is with any good business, word spread and the business grew. In the mean time, some of our customers were looking for Step Up Homes to build other projects for them. They were hoping to have the same experience as they had with their custom home projects. Some needed a contractor to build out their offices and other retail spaces. Others approached Step Up Homes about remodeling and repairing apartment complexes. Management saw a need to fill and soon realized that these segments of the construction business had potential. In order to better manage this increase in business, Step Up Homes was reorganized into Step Up Construction, Inc. in 2003. This new company retained the custom home building division, but also incorporated two new divisions as well. A commercial tenant improvement division and apartment rehabilitation and repair division. By diversifying into these three divisions, the company placed itself in a strategic position to properly oversee any size project. Yet, remaining small enough so as not to lose sight of its goal of giving the customer a quality project at a reasonable price. "Big or Small We Do It All" took on a whole new meaning.
